SDG 10, or Sustainable Development Goal 10, is one of the 17 global goals established by the United Nations to be achieved by 2030. Titled “Reduced Inequalities,” SDG 10 focuses on reducing inequalities within and among countries. This goal aims to address various dimensions of inequality, including income inequality, social inequality, and discrimination. It calls for policies and measures to ensure that the benefits of economic growth are more equitably distributed, and that everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to prosper.
SDG 10 seeks to empower marginalized and vulnerable groups, promote social, economic, and political inclusion, and provide assistance to countries in need to bridge development gaps. Reducing inequalities is seen as integral to sustainable development, as it fosters social cohesion, reduces poverty, and promotes peace. Achieving SDG 10 is essential for creating a more just and fair world where no one is left behind
